The Science of Getting Ripped by Raza Imam comes highly useful for those above mentioned and this book mainly provides steps suitable for a busy lifestyle. The author's own experience is included in this hence this is highly practical and reliable. The book mentions a proven method setting goals in the process and I am very much impressed by the six day exercise and Sunday rest schedule included. The 12 principle guide is valuable and each describes with its specific use, methods and takeaways acknowledging the reader. The work outs are provided and the progress charts provided can be used as indications of the state of our goals as present evaluations. I have already started following the steps mentioned in this book and I feel that I am gaining success. I recommend this book for others.

This is not the "science" of getting ripped! You have to lose body fat first, then you can focus on definition. The auhor's information comes from conversations with gym owners or friends. The author said to consume up to 350 gm of carbs on weight days. So, you have to think about your body as a refrigerator and a freezer. The fridge is easy to get to and it has a limited supply of food. You put calories/food into the fridge and you take food/calories out. The freezer is in the basement behind some junk, its dark and everything is just crammed in their. When the fridge is full, food gets moved to the freezer, automatically by your body. It is hard to get food out of the freezer. The freezer is your body fat, and insulin controls the excess calories from the fridge to the freezer. You have to deplete the fridge before calories get pulled out of the freezer. You have to get your insulin under control before you get calories out of the freezer. Why does TZD, sulfonylureas, and metformin make diabetics fatter? They increase insulin! Antibiotic resistant bacteria is about the antibiotics. The bacteria would not be resistant if i did not give antibiotics. Insulin resistane is about insulin. Diabetics loose weight on acrabose. It decreases insulin. Diabetics on insulin need more and more insulin to control their sugar, they are building resistance. Obese diabetics on insulin have more MI, CVA, and morality compared to people with minimal care! Thats science backed up by many trials. So what do you do to loose the fat. Alternate day fasting is a good option, and keep hitting the weights. I really like Reg Park's original 5X5 program, which the author has in the book. Honestly i stopped paying attention and taking the author seriously when he cited bread and potato as complex carbs. If Raza Imam is reading this, i want my $20 back! I would like to give this book -10 stars. Anyone who has five functioning brain cells and picked up a weight knows this book is crap!

Just finished Raza’s the Science of Getting Ripped. Friggin awesome. It’s definitely the SCIENCE of getting ripped. Tons of detailed studies and proof about what works and what doesn’t. Yet, somehow, the book is very easy to read. It’s perfect mixture of big words (Myofibrillar Hypertrophy and dicyandiamide) and easy-to-understand logic.I'm pretty much a beginner, this book was perfect for me. I don’t know a thing about any of this stuff, but I learned a ton!

This book gives simple and actionable advice IF you can get past the questionable writing: repetitions of the same concepts over and over, annoying use of "so" in front of too many statements, and various contradictions. The author could have used a good editor. That said, the advice is solid and clear.

Pretty standard information, but it is handy to have all in one source rather than going across various internet bookmarks. Content is written in terms that are very easy to understand.

I have worked out for the majority of my life and never had to worry about my diet. Then I hit my thirties....With that being said, I never really understood how, what and when to eat to stay lean. I understand now. Thanks to this book!
