It is very thorough in its descriptions when compared to its related reading of Sources in American Constitutional History by Michael Les Benedict.
This book was a good read. The chapters are relatively short and to the point. At the end of each chapter is a timeline summary of the chapter which is very helpful to those who find history boring, they can just review what they have read as the timeline provides names and years of different events. This textbook took the traditional approach to American History however I would recommend it to those who like to read novels as the textbook is written much like a novel from third person.
